Ultrasound or ultrasonography, also abbreviated usg, is an imaging method. The most important difference of ultrasound, which allows us to see inside the human body, from other imaging methods is that it does not use X-rays, that is, ultrasound does not contain radiation. Ultrasound (usg) ultrasound uses sound waves at a frequency that the human ear cannot hear. Another outstanding feature is that the resulting image is a snapshot. Ultrasound devices have been used in medicine for more than 40 years. It has been accepted as an indispensable application of gynecological examination and pregnancy follow-up.
Ultrasound (USG) is an auxiliary method in the evaluation of the liver, gall bladder, biliary tract, pancreas, kidney, bladder (urinary bag) and prostate. The internal organs are viewed on the monitor and it is examined whether there are signs such as tumors, infection (inflammation), stones in the organs.
Convex Transrectal and Vaginal ultrasound examinations are performed with our modern ultrasound device. In addition, superficial tissue, breast thyroid, scrotal, neck, parotid salivary gland examinations are performed with the linear probe. Color Doppler examinations are used to examine all extremities and scrotal kidney vessels.
Ultrasound is one of the most important tests that has enabled the early diagnosis of many problems in the follow-up of both normal pregnancies and problematic pregnancies during pregnancy. Ultrasound (ultrasound) in pregnant women can be considered as the examination of the baby in the womb. In this respect, it is recommended to perform ultrasound evaluation at least once every 3 months. The first ultrasound (ultrasound) in early pregnancy is especially important because in this way, the gestational week of the baby is determined exactly and subsequent follow-ups are evaluated accordingly.
